Marie Shelton Banks was born to the late nelson Shelton and Annie Small Shelton in Brookshire, Texas on January 4, 1939. She graduated from Ralph J. Bunch High School on May 19, 1958.

Marie met and married the last Jesse Banks in January 1959 in Brookshire, Texas and to this union three boys were born, Bruce, Harold and Mike.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five sisters, four brothers and three grandchildren.

Marie accepted Christ at an early age.  Marie was an active member of Agape Christan Fellowship Church for 35 years.  She remained faithful until her passing.

Marie worked at a private home until her retirement in January 2012.  Marie enjoyed family, church gatherings and helping with the Shelton Family Reunion.

Marie peacefully transitioned from this life to eternity on November 20, 2023, at 7:40 AM at Methodist Sugar Land Hospital, Sugar Land, Texas.

She leaves to cherish her memories three sons, Burce Wayne Banks, Harold Jean Banks, and Mike Banks (Portia); grandchildren, Tiara (Eddie), Leon, Lisa, Kynarra, LaDArious (Kayla), Shawn (Jennifer), Sheneika, Mike Jr, and 28 great grandchildren.

She will be missed by her two oldest nieces who transported and attended church services with her for over thirty years (Annie Laura Jackson (Betty Kemp).

Marie will also be truly missed by her nieces, nephews, cousinsand friends.
