Marie Georgiana (Georgie) Richard was born on September 22, 1938 in Leonville La, to the
Late Percy and Cornelia (Alsandor) Redmond. Georgie answered the final boarding call on the
train bound for Glory on Sunday, January 12, 2025 peacefully in her residence with her
daughter by her side.

Louis {Shine} Richard and to this union three children were born. Upon leaving Opelousas La
they moved to Houston Texas where she became a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church for
many years before moving her membership to St Franscis Xavier Catholic Church until the Lord
received her home.
She lived the life of a true Christian. Her motto was "Be kind and compassionate to one another,
forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ."
Georgie began her career with M.D.Anderson Hospital as a maid back in 1965, but around
1972, she became restless and " She wanted to do something different," so she trained to be a

2003. During her employment at MD Anderson she was nominated for the Outstanding
Employee Award points out,
"She brought out a pleasant, but quiet attitude to a difficult and demanding job. No one fully
appreciates the great job that she did until she was gone for as little as one day. No one could
do her job as well or as completely in her absence.
