Marilyn Mills Khaton entered eternal rest on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at the age of 74.  Marilyn Louise Mills Khaton was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on July 22, 1949, into the joyful union of the late Robert Mills Jr. and Thelma Higgins Mills. Eldest sister of the Robert Mills III, the late Loleta Schneider, Sybil Mills, the late Joanne Wilson, the late Florence Mills, Christopher Mills.

Marilyn was a 1967 graduate of Walter L. Cohen Senior High School.  She also attended Southern University of New Orleans.  She was employed by the United States Postal Service where she worked for 30 years until her retirement.

Marilyn Khaton was married to the late Cedric P. Khaton.  From that union two daughters were born, Dessadra Khaton-Bishop and Jadon Khaton-Veal (Corey). She was blessed to have one Godchild, Cordia Foster Miller (Arnold) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. God truly blessed her with one granddaughter, Quinn Ariyah Veal and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
