.

Maurice K. Flowers departed his earthly body and transitioned to heavenly rest on December 22, 2025.  Maurice married his wife Willirine Flowers on June 26, 1985, and to this union one child, Briana D. Flowers was born. He received a bonus child, Shaundra L. Brown who he affectionately accepted and called his daughter, as well. Maurice grew up in Bryan, Texas and attended school in Brazos County ISD. Later he moved to Levelland, Texas. He was drafted in the military where he served in the United States Army and was deployed to Vietnam during the war.  He served his country from November 7, 1966, to May 28, 1968. After an honorable discharge, he moved to Houston Texas, where he powerfully headed his own business as a carpet mechanic for more than 35 years.  He had the privilege to work for many prominent people in the  Houston area, including Dr. Michael DeBakey, the Weingarten family, and the Pappas brothers, to name a few. He took pride in the quality of his work to the point of perfection. Maurice Flowers came to know God under the direction of his Grandmother Liza Jane and carried that teaching with him throughout his life.  Maurice was ordained as a Deacon under the direction of Pastor R. L. Davis at Willowridge Missionary Baptist Church. Even though he left Willowridge, he continued to serve as a Deacon for more than 35 years. He continued to study God's word and served in many capacities of church as greeter, bible study teacher, brotherhood, homeless ministry, and  male chorus.  He never lost his zeal for serving God even though his health was failing, he continued to call on God in his illness believing he would be healed and never lost his faith.

Maurice Kenneth Flowers was the oldest of nine children and leaves behind to celebrate his legacy his wife of 40 years Willirine Flowers. He loved and cared for his family at all times.
