Henry Onita “Neat” Manning was born on October 25,1947, in Huntsville, Texas to Elijah and Juanita Nauls. The youngest of her siblings, she grew up in Midway, TX and attended and graduated from Marion Anderson High School.

She accepted Christ at an early age at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. After moving to Houston, she became a member of New Hope under Pastor Fletcher and later joined Bellfort Church of Christ.

Onita worked several jobs before starting her career at UTHealth Houston Harris County Psychiatric Center, where she dedicated 20 years before retiring.

She married the love of her life, Robert L. Manning, on February 26, 1966, and God blessed their union with a son and a daughter.

Onita was preceded in death by her parents, Elijah Nauls and Juanita Nauls; her three brothers, Floyd Nauls Sr., Elijah Nauls, and Melvin Nauls; and her two sisters, Margaret Nauls Manning and her twin, Rosalind Smith.
