Ned "Uncle Precious" Deville was born on September 10, 1933, to Gilbert and Everlina Deville in Opelousas, Louisiana. Ned accepted Christ at an early age and united with Mt. Cavalry Baptist Church, Opelousas, L ouisiana under the Leadership of Rev. Archie W. Rosette. He attended the public school in Opelousas, L ouisiana .

He started his work career in Opelousas, L ouisiana at a young age. He relocated to Houston, T exas and followed the love of his life and high school sweetheart Ellen. Ned was the father of Carolyn Oakley of Opelousas, L ouisiana . On February 25, 195 6 ; Ellen and Ned were united in holy matrimony. T o this union, seven children were born - Julie Cheryl, Victor Lee, Marian Gayle, Andrea Marie, a set of t wins – Rodney and Renee and Michael.

Ned was a hardworking man and was employed as a Produce Manager and retired as a Receiving Manager with Lewis and Coker Supermarkets for over 40 years. Ned enjoyed outdoor life and was a Proud Member of Special Pals Riding Club. Ned owned several horses.  Among his favorites was "Scarlett" because he could put all his grandchildren on that horse, he knew nothing would happen to them. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with family. After he retired from the riding club, his love for gardening and landscaping became his favorite past time.

After many decades of hard work, Ned genuinely enjoyed retirement years.  He was a doting father, grandfather and great-grandfather who visited his children, grandchildren, and great-grand children frequently.  He enjoyed watching soap operas and spending time at the dining room table with his favorite girl.  They were truly a pair and a joy to be with.  Whenever you walked in the house – they were either enjoying homemade pound cake, drinking coffee , playing cards, or just watching television.

Ned departed this earthly life on Friday, February 19, 2021. Two days after his sweetheart. Just like he followed her to Houston, Texas realizing he could not be without her, he followed her in death. Preceding him in death were his mother and father Gilbert and Everlina Deville ; children – Carolyn , Rodney, Renee, and Michael; grand-daughter – Jacquetta; s ix brother s - Gus Aggison, David Deville, Robert Deville, Wilbert Aggison, Allen Aggison, Joe Deville, and Rayfield Deville; two sister - Helen Wilson and Julia Albert .

He leaves to cherish his memories : Four children – Julie, Victor ( Bebe) (Sherr i Brooks ), Mar ia n (Darryl Anthony ), Andrea (Troy Randle ), t en grandchildren - Tren i cia (Corey Luke ), Erika (Robert Griffin ), Rodney, Victor Jr. , J asmine , Julius, Jamal, Jamichael, Jalynn, and Javon ; t en g reat g randchildren - Keonna , K y nnedi, K hloe, K arter , Ky, Carsen, Jerika, Jericho, Journee, and Jayla ; o ne sister - Lucille Gibbs; seven sisters - in - law - Georgia, Mary, Shirley, Ann, Jessie, Lula and Sybil; o ne b rother -in-law - Don (June) ; a cornucopia of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends from far and near. We must not forget his ride or die, trail ride friend and partner - Willie Green and his best friend and pet --"Precious".
