Noreen Cecile Lawrence was born December 12, 1943, to Joseph and Violet-Lawrence in New Orleans Louisiana. She attended public school in Louisiana and graduated from Carver High School.
Her spiritual development commenced at an early age. Upon relocating to Houston, Texas her Christian activities were shared with whatever congregation she fellowshipped. Her latest stewardship was shared with The Freedom Center under the leadership of Pastor Greg Crawford, where she remained a member until her death. Noreen was a committed member and a. true believer in the word of God.
On September 15, 1971, she united in Holy Matrimony to the love of her life Earnest Brooks and remained married for 52 years. To this loving couple, one daughter, Anitra, and son, Rainey was born.
Career accomplishments· include NASA in New Orleans, Mobile and Texas Instrument in Houston, Texas. Christi-Ans Bookstore for 11 years where she retired.
On the evening of July 9th, 2024, Noreen was escorted to Heaven's Pearly Gate and released into the arms of the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Viola Lawrence, her son Rainey, and three sisters.
By hr passing she leaves sweet and loving memories to her husband, Earnest Brooks; daughter, Anitra (Clyde)· three grandchildren. India. Christian and Jordan; four Great Grandchildren Jessica, Kyree, Inaya and Prym; one sister; Senedra Lewis; one brother, Joseph Lawrence, both· from New Orleans, Louisiana. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and friends.
