Obituary

Ollie Kenneth Robinson III was born on May 5, 1970, and peacefully answered the call of his Heavenly Father on January 29, 2026. A beloved son, father, grandfather, and friend, Ollie's life was a testament to kindness, perseverance, and love for others.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ollie Kenneth Robinson Jr. He leaves behind a legacy rooted in faith, family, and genuine compassion.

Ollie was a proud graduate of Evan E. Worthing High School, Class of 1989. During his time at Worthing, he played football and was voted "Best Dressed," a reflection of his natural style and confidence. He was well-loved by classmates and friends alike, never meeting a stranger and always leaving an impression wherever he went.

He had a deep love for old-school music and dreamed of becoming a DJ, sharing joy and rhythm with everyone around him. Ollie began his working years at Frank Gillman Pontiac on Bellaire Boulevard in Sharpstown, where he worked in the Parts Department and delivered parts to dealerships throughout the area—a job he truly enjoyed. He later worked at Randall's, Kroger, and Popeyes. Though illness eventually halted his ability to advance in his career and led to disability, Ollie never allowed his circumstances to dim his spirit or his desire to help others.

Ollie was known for his kind heart, gentle spirit, and willingness to lend a hand to young and old alike. Above all, he was a devoted father. As the years passed, he was blessed with children, and there was nothing he would not do for his daughters. His love for family was evident in every aspect of his life.

Though his health had declined, his passing came as a surprise to many. God, in His infinite wisdom, saw fit to call Ollie home, and while our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing he is now at rest.

Ollie Kenneth Robinson III was truly one in a million and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his loving mother, Shirley Ruth; his devoted grandmother, Dorothy Simmons; his children, Kei'zah and Keioncei; his three beloved granddaughters, Paisley, Sa'Mora and Sa'Myni;  god-daughter, Jessicah; best friend, Tunisha and a host of cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
