Patsy Harris was born on July 3,1941 to John and Ernestine Harris in Houston. Patsy was the sixth of nine children. Patsy met Tillman Talbert and they exchanged vows. Patsy Talbert and Tillman Talbert were blessed with seven children. Patsy graduated from Jack Yates Senior High School. Patsy devoted her life to her family. Patsy was baptized at an early age. Patsy was a housewife. Patsy was a devoted Wife, Mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, cousin, and friend. Patsy enjoyed keeping her children, grandchildren, great- grandchildren, great-great children daily in her home. Patsy did not believe in a day care for any of her grandchildren, great grandchildren, that was not an option for any family member. Patsy had a passion for taking care of family. Patsy enjoyed spending time with her family & sisters. Every day was a holiday for Patsy and a reason for family to spend time together and enjoy family. Patsy belief was we weren't rich in material things, but we were wealthy beyond belief in family and love. Patsy was so loved and well-respected, Patsy exemplified it took a village to raise kids with humor and laughter.
Patsy passed her appreciation of music to all her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, great grandchildren, Patsy leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. Patsy lived a full and active life until her health declined. Patsy was heartbroken after losing her three oldest sons. Patsy had an amazing sense of humor and was always the light in the room. When you talked to Patsy, she made you feel as if you're the most important person in the room. Patsy wanted everyone around her to feel happy and loved, Patsy made sure no one was left out. Patsy was a light in this world that will continue to shine bright in our lives even in the afterlife. Patsy was kindhearted and soft spoken until you made her mad. Patsy enjoyed cooking large meals for her family. In the darkest times Patsy always managed to smile as well as hold your hands. Patsy pictures, and memories will live on in us forever. Patsy legacy will forever live with us and with everyone who was given the opportunity to share in her life legacy. Every time we smile, laugh, dance, or show kindness her spirit will be with us. Ever during her declining health, she was still able to communicate using her eyes and hands.
Patsy is preceded in death by her husband Tillman Talbert Jr, her parents John and Ernestine Harris, her children Donald Ray Harris, Kenneth Ray Harris, Reginald Jerome Harris, her Grandsons, Carlton Talbert, Darnell Williams, and Grandson- in- law- Christopher Jackson, her Brothers John Harris JR, Carl Harris, and sisters Bonnie Williams, Geraldine Garrick, Joyce Shepherd, sister-in-law Diannie Johnson Talbert
Patsy is survived by her daughter Cynthia Talbert, (son in law Nathaniel Douglas) Sons, Micheal Talbert, Curtis Talbert, Steven Talbert. Lifetime Partner Dannie Chappel, Sisters, Gloria Foster, Bennie Edwards, Brother Donald Harris. Grandchildren, Lakeisha Talbert, Nathan Talbert, Brittany Talbert, Kenneth Williams, Dante Talbert.
Patsy leaves behind a host family, great grandchildren, great- great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
