Paul Willys
Dunn
Dec 4, 1953 — Jan 14, 2026
Paul Willys Dunn was born on December 4, 1953, at Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas, and passed away on January 14, 2026, at the same hospital after many rounds of heart procedures.
Paul was born to Willie Dunn and Savator Holman, both of whom preceded him in death. He was the third child in the family, following James Earl Dunn and Paula Yuvern Dunn, both of whom preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn three younger brothers: Michael Wayne Dunn of Austin, Texas; Anthony Ray Dunn of Houston, Texas; and Mark Allen Dunn of Houston, Texas. He also leaves a step-sister, Deeda Marie Ellis of Phoenix, Arizona. Paul was preceded in death by his step-brothers, Harold Vann Ellis and Robert Grice.
Paul graduated from Ross Sterling High School in Houston and later joined the United States Army. He married his high school sweetheart, Jacqueline Rhodes of Houston, Texas, and from that union, his daughter, La'Kisha Danielle Dunn, was born in Houston, Texas. After that marriage ended, Paul later married his late wife Nicolette M. Jefferson for 23 years and lovingly raised his second child, Pierre N. Tannous, in Houston, Texas.
Paul will be deeply missed by his children, La'Kisha Dunn and Pierre Tannous (Jasmine), and by his four grandchildren: Jazmine Anise Weathers, Terry Jacorey Weathers, Karlee Paige Tannous, and Xavier Nicolas Tannous, all of Houston, Texas.
Paul worked for Coca-Cola Distributing for over 25 years and retired as a forklift operator. During his career, he formed lifelong professional and personal friendships, including that of his dearest friend and neighbor, Vincent Harris. He also maintained close ties with former high school classmates and friends, including Reginald Johnson (predeceased), Almeater Johnson, Russell Jacobs, and many others from the Sunnyside Gardens community.
Paul Willys Dunn will be remembered for his dedication to family, loyalty to friends, strong work ethic, and lasting presence in the community he called home.
