Peter Michael Verdun entered this world on February 26, 1957, in Houston, Texas, born to the late Albert Verdun and Elzena Louise Boutte Verdun. On Saturday, November 15, 2025, God lovingly called His angel back home, bringing Peter's earthly journey to a peaceful close.

Peter attended and graduated from Jefferson Davis High School and was a varsity football letterman. He was a devoted son, a loving father, a cherished brother, a committed husband, and a loyal friend. As the oldest of three siblings, he carried a sense of loyalty to his family. He married Evelyn Taylor on April 7th, 2006, beginning a journey filled with love, support, and shared memories.

Some of Peter's happiest moments were spent surrounded by people he loved, hanging out with family and friends, fishing on quiet days, and shooting pool with anyone willing to challenge him. One of his favorite pastimes was cheering on his sports teams. Whether it was the Texans, Rockets, or Astros, Peter was loyal through every win and loss. Holidays and weekends were always special to him, because that meant one thing, firing up the pit. Peter loved to barbecue, and he was truly gifted at it. His cooking brought people together, and the warmth of those gatherings reflected the warmth of his own heart. Peter also had a deep passion for space, he could spend hours looking at the stars, watching solar eclipses, or getting lost in any sci-fi movie that involved space. One of his lifelong dreams was to watch a NASA space launch in person. Though he didn't get a chance to see that dream fulfilled here on earth, we will find comfort knowing that he is with the stars that he so deeply enjoyed, watching over us from above, with the same warmth and joy that filled his life and touched everyone around him.

Peter now joins in glory with his parents, Albert and Elzena Boutte Verdun, infant sister Cecelia Verdun, grandparents Gabriel and Agatha Boutte Verdun, and grandparents Alexis and Cecelia Boutte.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his beloved wife, Evelyn Verdun; his daughter, Brittney Verdun Nabors and her husband, Christien; his son, Isaiah Verdun and his wife, Kyla; his stepchildren, Benita Taylor, Rell Angton III, and Marcus Hall; his grandchildren, Skylar Mann, Isla Verdun, Sienna Nabors, Amelia Verdun, and Elaina Verdun; and his step-grandchildren, Cameron and Chase Middleton, Sophia Angton, Malikye Nabors, Kyra Phillips, and Brianna Angton; sister, Debra Verdun and her husband David; sister, Pamela Verdun, and a host of nieces, nephews, numerous relatives, and friends.
