Robert Lee "Bubba"/"Homes" Mosley Jr., of Houston/Pearland, Texas was born on August 19,1935, in Liberty, Texas.  He was the only child born to Robert E. Mosley, Sr. and Ada Swift.  Robert was raised in a devotedly Christian home and accepted Jesus as his Lord and personal savior at a young age while united with Trinity Valley Missionary Baptist Church in Liberty, Texas.

Robert went to West Liberty Training High School, Liberty, Tx.  and graduated in 1955.   In February 1956, following graduation, Robert enlisted into the U. S. Navy, and served on the USS Prairie Ship.   After completing his tour of duty and receiving honorable discharge, Robert became an employer for Grocers Supply Co., Houston, Texas.

On March 3, 1962, Robert was united in holy matrimony to the woman of his dreams Ara E. Yates and remained happily married for 42 years until she passed away in 2004.  To this union, three children were born – two sons Robert III, and Bernard, and one daughter – Rhonda Mosley.   Robert was a member of East Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Houston, Texas under the leadership of Pastor Frank Celestine Sr for many years and served on the usher board, and male chorus until his health began to fail.  He had a passion for exercising (running for miles), fishing, and hunting.

In the year 2021, Robert relocated to live with his daughter, Rhonda, in Pearland, Texas where he was loved and cared for until his transition.  On April 14, 2025, he was admitted to Methodist Hospital, Houston, Texas.  On May 2nd Robert was transferred from Houston Methodist to Tuscany Village Skilled Nursing Facility and transitioned on May 7th to eternal life after a great fight with pneumonia.

He is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Mosley, two grandchildren, Braxton Jones, and Chaiya Mosley, one great grandchild, Calee Mosley and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Mosley Sr., mother, Ada Swift, his wife, Ara Mosley, his two sons Robert III, and Bernard.
