May 25, 1932, Robert was born to John Scott and Christina Thomas, and was raised by his father and stepmother Adell Scott.

Robert attended Lamar CISD. He married at an early age, and relocated to Houston TX, where he worked construction for many years, from then he went to Massey Business College; 35 plus years where he retired. After retirement, he opened a club for 20 plus years. During his free time, he enjoyed watching old western movies and sports. He also loved doing crossword puzzles.

He was a caring person who loved to BBQ, tell jokes, talk about the golden days, people, including himself. He was a dedicated father, grandfather, sibling, and friend. His energy, drive, and love for others were magnified by his laughter and smile. It was nothing he wouldn't do for the people he loved.

On the morning of January 24, 2024, He took his last breath when the Lord called him home, where there will be no more pain, weeping, or sorrow, but fullness, peace, and joy.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers,2 sisters, and 2 stepsisters.

He leaves to cherish his memory his kids James Scott, Robert Scott Jr., Raymond Scott, Bobby Jones, Lois Jones, Shelia Jones, and Quarris Gayles, and Grandkids Stephanie Daniels, Tamara Blake, Sean Deavers, Rodderick Harris, Adasha Scott, Draylin Scott, Bobby Jones Jr., Josh Jones, Cederic Thomas, Aubrey Thomas, and Darius Jones, and a host of great grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends who loved him dearly.
