On April 6th, 1942, the world was blessed with a buddle of joy. Rosa Lee West was the third child of Clifton Sr. and Matille Fontenot West. Rosa was raised in a small town called Bunkie, Louisiana where she grew up with sisters Adamatine and Jeanette and her baby brother Clifton West Jr.

Rosa graduated high school from Bunkie Colored-Carver High School and later attended some college studies at Southern University. She soon moved to Houston, Texas where she met the love of her life Lavern Word Jr. By 1962, the two were married and soon after expecting their 1st blessing; Billie Rochelle Word in 1963.

Rosa was blessed to become a member of the New Faith family where she met three of her closest friends Mrs. Fannie Madry, Mrs. Isabella Bailey, and Mrs. Juanita Thomas. From there Rosa became a proud and prominent member of the New Faith family joining multiple organizations such as: The Usher Board, The Girl Scouts of America, Age of Grace Ministry, A Greeter, and many more. She was even heavily involved in her Sunday School group and Wednesday morning Bible Study!

Rosa was blessed to have one daughter who proceeds her in death (Billie Deceased), two grandsons (Jeron and Jeffery), and three great grandsons (Dominic, Khaliq, and Kamari). God even made it so to bless her with a bonus daughter and grandson (Rene and Brandon Vidal). Rosa touched many lives as she navigated her way through the church and through Christ.
