Ruby Jewel Henny Cooper was born February 14, 1952, in Richmond, Texas, the beloved eldest child of Elton Henny and Ruby Stewart Beal.

Ruby Jewel completed her education at Wallis High School and pursued further studies in nursing. On August 12, 1971, she wed George Cooper, who precedes her in death. Together, they were blessed with three daughters.

Her Christian journey began in childhood at Oak Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Richmond Texas, where she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. Over the years, she served faithfully at Zion Hill Baptist Church and later at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Brookshire, Texas, where she dedicated over ten years to various ministries. She also contributed to the Mt. Zion Lively Hope District Association, serving as Bible Band President and Assistant Financial Secretary. God then led her to Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church in Houston, Texas, she faithfully served and worshiped with her church family being a proud member of the Seasoned Saints ministry, while also traveling with her WABC church family for various events and activities Ruby was also an active member of the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc.

Ruby Jewel's love for the Lord was evident in everything she did. Her spirit shone brightly as she shared the goodness of God with everyone she met. For more than 20 years, she served her community in funeral planning, helping families honor their loved ones, and was also an active member of the National Funeral Directors and Morticians Association, Inc. for many years.

The legacy of Ruby Jewel lives on through the countless lives she touched. Her words of wisdom, gentle encouragement, and warm smile will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. Her unwavering faith and love for God will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents: Andrew and Emma Nora Stewart, her parents: Elton Henny and Ruby Stewart Beal, and several great aunts and uncles.

Ruby Jewel leaves to cherish her memory her three daughters, Sandra, Ruchel, and Hollie Cooper; grandchildren, Jonae, Kolbie, and Jules; six siblings; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.

Sis Cooper was a shining light in the lives of everyone who knew her. Her love for her family, church, and friends was evident in every warm smile, gentle laugh, and uplifting word she shared. Though she will be deeply missed, the memories she created will forever carry us through the days ahead. Her kindness and spirit will continue to inspire us to cherish each moment and spread love just as she did.
