Obituary

Shammie Hill Sr. was born on August 15, 1960, in Morton, Texas to Willie G. Hill and Lovie Crawford. He attended Morton Elementary School in Morton, Texas.

Shammie was baptized at an early age at Providence Baptist Church by the late Rev. F.M. Weaver. He attended Worthing High School in Houston, Texas.

After high school he proudly served his country in the United States Army, embodying strength, discipline, and honor throughout his life.

Shammie married Barbara Hill in 1979 and to this union two children were born: Kriscynthia Hill and Shammie Hill Jr. He later went on to have two more children, Glenda Hill and Marcus Hill.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Willie G. Hill, his sister Glenda Christman, and his brother Anthony Hill Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memory his four children: Kriscynthia Hill, Shammie Hill Jr., Glenda Hill, Marcus Hill, and a daughter of his heart Emma Hill. He also leaves behind his mother, Lovie Crawford. Three brothers: Stephone Roberts, Quincy Roberts, and David Crawford. Six sisters: Debra Williams, Louise Jones, LaShanda Girdy, Shelia Mormin, Anita Williams, and Farlice Lovings. Two granddaughters: Saraye Hill and Diavian Hill, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Shammie's legacy is one of service, dedication, and unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
