Obituary

Shantell Rashay Brass graced the Earth with her beautiful and loving presence on June 21, 1970. "Shan", as she was lovingly called by family and friends, was born and raised in Houston, Texas to proud and loving parents, Herman Williams and Loyce Brass Williams. She received her formal education from the local school system in Houston, proudly graduating from Jack Yates High School, Class of 1989.

With the blessing of being raised in a home of love and faith, Shantell accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas, by the Late Reverend D. Leon Everett, II. She later joined Higher Dimension Church in Houston, Texas, and after moving to Midland, Texas, joined Faith Home of the Living God.Shantell was always a hard worker loved by everyone she worked with. Her most recent employer was the Midland International Air and Space Port.

In her leisure time, she loved to go fishing, playing and watching sports, and being around family and friends. Most knew her as a fan of the Denver Broncos, but she was really an avid Payton Manning fan. Throughout Junior High and High School, she played basketball, volleyball and ran track.

The beautiful memories Shantell Rashay Brass shared will forever live in the hearts of her children, Erica Law, Crystal Law, Ashley Law, and Rogers Law, all of Houston, Texas; her grandchildren, Jeremiah Coffman Jr., A'Ziah Davis and Baby Leyah Walker, all of Houston, Texas; her grandmother, Mrs. Shirley Brass of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Trevis Ivory (Ashley) of Missouri City, Texas and Joseph King of Lafayette, Louisiana; two sisters, ReTresia Hughes (Sean) of Missouri City, Texas and Ja'Leah Williams of Lafayette, Louisiana; stepfather, Thurman Ivory (Cassandra) of Missouri City, Texas; nephews, DeKovan Ward, Trevion Ivory and Trenton Ivory, all of Missouri City, Texas, and Jaron Sallier, Jadon Sallier and Daylon King, all of Lafayette, Louisiana; nieces, Robynn Ivory of Missouri City, Texas, and Cadence King and Lyric Sallier, both of Lafayette, Louisiana; aunts, Tracey Brass and Amy Williams, both of Houston, Texas; uncles, McKinley Williams (Ester) and Joseph Williams, both of Houston, Texas; and a host of cousins, other close relatives and friends.
