Obituary

Shaun Dewayne Foster entered into eternal rest in the early afternoon hours of May 19th, 2025. Our beloved son, brother, uncle, and devoted friend leaves behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, fortitude and love. Shaun was born January 13th, 1976 to Robert and Bertha Foster, the youngest of their four children. He began his walk with roots in the Third Ward community,  Christened at St. Mary's of the Purification Catholic Church.

Early in Shaun's childhood, the Foster family relocated to Missouri City where he began attending Fort Bend schools Hunters Glen Elementary, Quail Valley Middle, and Willowridge High School. Shaun would establish roots in Missouri City and cultivate many lifelong friendships over the years.  Upon graduating from Willowridge High School with the Class of 1994, Shaun attended Texas A&M University.  Intuitively bright, friendly, thoughtful and considerate, Shaun was as good-natured and affable a person as one could ever know. He loved to match wits, debating any and everything with those in his circle, and always got an extra thrill from winning an argument or friendly wager.  Shaun, or "Big Boy" as his close friends  dubbed him, had a joyous laugh that we will remember fondly forever.

We rejoice in his joining his maternal grandparents, Curtis & Anna Washington, his paternal grandparents, & Georgia Foster, his father Robert Foster, Sr., his brother Leroy Foster, and all the his family and friends that are now angels in Heaven. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother Bertha Zeno Foster, brother Robert Foster, Jr. (Samantha), sister Kina Foster, and a host of nephews (Devan, Desmond, Darius, Kristopher, Corey, Trevion), a niece (Alleah), Goddaughters (Nia & Nia), Godson (Nic), a bonus mother (Amanda),  many bonus brothers and sisters, and a host of family and close friends who loved him dearly.

We will carry on in this Earthly life counting joy in the memories we shared with Shaun and comforted by the warmth of the love he had for us all.
