Obituary

On the peaceful morning of September 46, 2025, Theodore Renaud Richards was called home to be with the Lord.  In that quiet moment, he reunited with beloved family and friends who had gone before him, entering God's Heavenly Kingdom with the same calm spirit he carried throughout his life.

Born on October 30, 1957, in Houston, Texas.  Theodore was the youngest of two sons born to Darby and Erma Jean Richards.  Affectionately known to all as "BB" a nickname lovingly coined by his older brother, Andre.

Theodore was raised with strong values and deep faith, nurtured at Blueridge United Melodist Church.  His parents made sure he experienced the richness of childhood - from church involvement to joining the Boy Scouts of America, where he learned responsibility, teamwork and a sense of community.

As a teenager, Theodore discovered a passion that would shape the rest of his life, cars.  From the first engine he tinkered with, it was clear he had a gift. After graduating from Evan E Worthing High School, he took that passion and turned it into a career, working as a mechanic at Firestone.

What began as a simple friendship wit his neighbor, Debra, blossomed into love.  Together, they had two children – Rani and Renaud "Dell".

He was always willing to lend a lhelpiing hand – especially if it meant popping up the hood and solving a car problem.

Theodore wa preceded in death by his father, Darby Richards, his b rother, Andrea Richards; his wife, Debra Harris Richards, and his beloved son Renaud "Dell" Richards.

He is survived by his devoted mother, Erma Jean Richards, his loving daughter, Rani (Michael) Williams; his cherished grandchildren, Karson Richards, Ariyah Richards and Madisyn Williams, his aunt, Ora Lee Martin; nephew, Christopher Richards; great niece, Simone Richards, Simone Richards and a host of extended family and lifelong friends who will miss him dearly.

Though he is no longer with us in the physical sense, Theodore's spirit will forever live on in the memories we share. The stories we till, and the hearts he touched.
