Dr. Rev. Wayman O. Yancey July 16,1950 – August 16,2025

Wayman O. Yancey, 75 years old was born in Houston, Texas and passed away unexpectedly in Pearland, Texas.

He was born in Houston, Texas in 1950 to William and Virginia Yancey and raised in the south side community of Sunny Side. Wayman attended Evan E Worthing Sr High School and graduated Class of 1962. He then continued his education at the University of Houston and obtained many degrees. Recently received his Master of Arts in African American Ministry from Newburgh Theological Seminary. Wayman gave his life to Christ at a young age and started his teachings of the word at Fourth Missionary Baptist Church under the guidance of Dr. Rev. E. S. Branch and had recently found a home church at Lilly Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He was known as the owner of Yancey's Bookkeeping and Tax Service were he has serviced clients for over 30 years and handled them with care and professionalism.

Wayman was preceded in death by Emma Yancey(wife), William Yancey (father), Virginia Yancey (mother) Barbara Colter (sister), Leslie Yancey (brother) and Chandra Nervis(niece) and is survived by Kay Yancey (sister), Jeanette Yancey (sister) and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
