Willie Belle Mollett Boone was born May 22,1932 in Beaumont, Texas, the only child of Florine McDaniel and L.J. Mollett.  After graduating from Charlton Pollard High School (lead majorette), she convinced her family that there was more opportunity for her in Houston, so off to Houston she went.  In Houston, she would evolve into a noteworthy, powerful political force that was dedicated to the uplift of the community.
Willie Belle transitioned July 15, 2025.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband Jesse, parents Florine McDaniel and stepfather, Archie McDaniel and sons David and Rodney.  Left to cherish precious memories are her only granddaughter Geneva "Angel" Williams, special daughter Mary Oliver, special son Charles Foster and numerous caring neighbors and friends.
