Obituary

Wynell Malone was born December 19, 1947, to Elmo and Willie Bell Morris in Crane, Texas.  She was affectionally called "Nell" by all who know her well. Wynell accepted Christ as her personal Savior at the age of nine.

As a child she did the typical things then year old girls do; hanging out with friends, playing Jacks hopscotch swimming, and going to the country to visit her grandparents.

Her education came from Bethune Elementary and Crane High School, where she played basketball and excelled at other academics.  After high school, Wynell worked for Polystone and babysat for several families in the community.

Wynell met her husband, Kerdess Malone for a lifetime on August 25th, 1965 as a teen dance in Brownsville, Texas.  He was in the Army and on leave at the time.

Wynell and Kerdess corresponded for four years while he was stationed overseas.  They were joined in holy matrimony on May 25, 1969.  To this union were born two daughters, Dedra and D'Antoinette Malone.

A dedicated wife and mother, Wynell had a calm spirit and inviting personality. Her home was open to everyone.  If you came over, the first thing she would say is "have a seat, stay a week".  Nell loved to cook for holidays and bake a 7UP pound cake as often as she could.  She was a peaceful woman with a heart that was unmeasurable.

Wynell had three grandsons, Kersteven, Daniel, and Collin.  They were all her favorite as any child that came through her door was loved just as much.

Wynell is preceded in death by her father Elmo Morris mother Willie Bell Morris and sister Elma Jean.
