Capriel Rashael Collins was born in Franklin, Louisiana to Arnold Ray Jones and Elaine Roberson on January 16, 1979.
Upon marriage to Reginald Collins Sr, Capriel was adopted by him and loved by him as she was his own. Capriel
confessed her life to Christ at the age of six and was baptized at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Franklin, Louisiana. Capriel
was a member of Greater Saint Matthew Baptist Church under the leadership of the late great Gusta Booker Jr. Capriel is
a member of the RoseMary Grand Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.
Capriel attended St. Mark's Episcopal School and Lovett Elementary in Houston, Texas. She went on to attend Franklin
Junior High in Franklin, Louisiana but eventually graduated from Welch Middle School in Houston, Texas. Ultimately,
Capriel graduated from James Madison High School in 1997, where she graduated in the top 15% of the class. Capriel's
extracurricular activities included playing the flute for the infamous Ocean of Thunder marching band, and the Who's
Who's National Society.
Upon graduating from high school, Capriel went on to attend the University of Houston. While attending U of H, Capriel
work at the world famous 610 Pappadeaux's. She worked there for several years, making many new friends and building
lifelong relationships. Subsequently, she decided to choose another career path. She joined the Department of
Homeland Security as a Transportation Security Officer (TSO) for (TSA) at Bush Intercontinental Airport on January 23,
2005. Capriel accelerated up the ranks and became a Transportation Security Manager on July 22, 2018. Before her
untimely departure, Capriel was assigned a special detail working as a Transportation Security Manager on the National
Deployment Office (NDO) team with TSA Headquarters. Throughout her career at TSA, Capriel received numerous
awards and recognition. On May 10, 2022, Capriel received the 2022 Federal Executive Board of Houston Award and the
Supervisor/Team Leader Award.
Capriel was a smart, beautiful, and caring person to everyone she knew. Capriel enjoyed spending time with family and
friends, helping others, and most of all shopping. She would travel far and wide to make sure she had the right outfit!
Capriel made an impact on all of our lives in one way or another.
She was preceded in death by her son Day'vion DeMarcus Terry, her maternal grandparents, Willie and Euradell
Roberson, and her paternal grandparents Cornelius Ireland Sr and Evelyn Mary Rose Ireland and Mr. and Mrs. Jones and
aunts and uncles. Capriel is survived by her mother, Elaine Collins; her father Reginald Collins Sr; brother, Reginald
Collins Jr. (Shatoyia); biological father, Arnold Ray Jones; nieces and nephews, Ethan, Elijah, Emree; Godchildren, Derrick
Xavier Lincoln, Ashamarah Heath, DeAntuan Smith, Karson Smith, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Capriel will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all that came to know her. She will remain in our hearts forever.
