Craig Bernard Bailey was born on June 18th, 1964 to Willie H. Bailey Sr. and Emma L. Bailey. Our family lost a pillar on Monday, October 23rd, 2023, when Craig Bernard Bailey formally known as Papa passed away.

Craig was born in Houston, Texas, but was raised in Kashmere Gardens where he attended McDade Elementary School, Key Junior High, and Kashmere High School. Craig was a fun and caring person who loved to laugh and tell jokes. He embodied the importance of education which he obtained from his mother. This led him to attend Prairie View A&M University. He earned a  Bachelor's of Science Degree in Industrial Technology.

While attending Prairie View A&M University he met his "Bride" Carolyn Denise Bailey. On August, 2nd, 1986 Craig married Carolyn in Houston, Texas and to this union there were blessed with one daughter Samantha A. Bailey and one son Aaron B. Bailey, and one beloved grandson, Jayden E. Bailey.

Craig was employed by General Motors for 37 years. While working for General Motors he moved to various places throughout his career. During his career he held many positions and met great friends along the way. Craig loved playing golf and watching his favorite show King of Queens. He was a forever fan of the Dallas Cowboys.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Emma Lee Bailey; father, Willie H. Bailey Sr.; brother, Orlean Jeffery Bailey.

He leaves behind to mourn his "Bride" Carolyn Bailey. His brother, Willie H. Bailey Jr., His sister Bobbie Skyes His children Samantha A. Bailey and Aaron Bailey (Naomi ). One grandson Jayden Bailey, two nephews Lance Tanner and Demetrius Newton (Deandrea), and one Uncle O.J. Jones. One brother-in-law Michael Tanner (Brenda T.), and one mother-in-law Erma O'Neil. Cousins Arlene, Gus (Tina), Rosalyn (Jerald), Kendell (son Aiden), Mark (Daphne), Jennifer, Darnell, Deborah (Joe Buck), and Dwayne. And a host of other family and very special friends.
