On February 11, 1945 a baby girl was born to Willie and Francis George in Mooringsport, Louisiana. She attended Greenmoore Elementary and Herndon High School in Shreveport, LA. She later attended Grambling State University and Texas Southern University.

Johnnie accepted Christ at an early age at St. John Baptist Church in Mooringsport, LA. In June of 1974 she joined Pisidia Missionary Baptist church under the leadership of Rev. R. R. Hartwell. She continued her Christian journey in many capacities of the church. Johnnie later joined The New Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist church under the leadership of Rev. Ronald Smith, working with the youth until her health no longer permitted.

Johnnie was preceded in death by her mother Francis George, father Willie George Sr., brother LaFrance George Sr., sister Tommie Mae Burks, brother Osby George, and brother Willie George Jr.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories; her beloved husband of 50 years Rev. Otis C. Jackson Sr., daughter Yolanda Gray, daughter Salandra Williams (Nathan), and son Otis C. Jackson II. Eleven grandchildren Donovan, Otis T., Xandria, Breyundria, Otis III, Erin, Cameron, Cambriel, Treasure, Alexis and Lacey. Two great grandchildren Ethan and Elijah. Godchildren Alesha Luckett and Marcus Jones. And a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
